- **Name**: The name of the custom control point.
- **Control point type**: The base control point that was selected when creating the custom control point.
- **Date modified**: When the control point was last updated.
- **Status** - **Draft**: The control point can still be edited, renamed, and deleted. Draft control points cannot be added to risk scores.

## Global custom control point actions

_App Admins_ can perform the following actions on any custom control point in MindBridge. Review the articles linked below for details on additional control point actions.

### Create a control point

Libraries can hold up to 20 custom control points. The process for creating new control points varies based on how they operate, but you can start by selecting **Create control point** near the top of the screen.

### Rename a control point

Control points that are in **Draft** mode or have been **Published** can be renamed at any time, however, once they are **Active** (i.e., they have been added to a risk score), they cannot be renamed.

1. Open the **more actions menu** in line with the control point you want to rename.
2. Select **Rename**. A form window will appear.
3. Enter a unique **Name** for the control point.
4. When you are satisfied, **Save** your changes. The control point will be renamed and you will go back to the _Custom control points_ section.

Select **Cancel** anytime to go back to the _Custom control points_ section without saving.

### Duplicate a control point

Duplicating a control point lets you create a point-in-time copy that you can modify as desired without affecting the original. You can duplicate control points with any status.

1. Open the **more actions menu** to the right of the control point you want to duplicate.
2. Select **Duplicate**. A form window will appear.
3. Update the **Name** and **Description** of the control point as desired.

**Note:** For a [custom Expert Rules](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/15253201885975) control point, you will be brought to the [edit screen](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/15253201885975-Library-settings-Custom-Expert-Rules-control-point#h_01GYDG5Y00G5CSZ2DG2Y0NZH26) where you can make changes to the ruleset. When you are satisfied with the changes, **Save** your work.

4. When you are satisfied, **Publish** the control point to finalize it. The control point will reflect the **Published** status, and can be applied to [risk scores](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360061668293) as needed, and you will go back to the _Custom control points_ section.

Select **Cancel** anytime to go back to the _Custom control points_ section without duplicating the control point.

**Tip:** Once a control point has been _published_, it cannot be modified or deleted, but it can be duplicated, and the new version can be edited as desired.

### Delete a control point

Control points that are in **Draft** mode or have been **Published** can be deleted at any time, however, once they are **Active** (i.e., they have been added to a risk score), they cannot be deleted.

1. Open the **more actions menu** in line with the control point you want to delete.
2. Select **Delete**. A confirmation window will appear.
3. To permanently delete the control point, select **Delete**. The control point will be removed from the library and you will go back to the _Custom control points_ section.

Select **Cancel** to go back to the _Custom control point_ section without deleting the control point.
