## Summary

Risk ranges are customized scoring parameters that are determined by the minimum and maximum percentage thresholds for **low**, **medium**, and **high** risk levels, respectively.

**App Admins** can [create custom risk ranges](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/13640223743383#h_01GYD71X8WKP9329VD8CQ8RKDW) within the library and apply them to custom risk scores based on their firm's methodology. These new risk ranges (whether they are **Active** or **Inactive** in the library) are automatically imported for use in new engagements and applied to analysis results, but you can change which risk range is applied to any of your team's custom risk scores in the analysis settings.

**Note:** Changes made to the analysis settings will override library settings **within the given analysis**, but will not impact the original risk ranges within the library.

## Filtering for risk ranges in your analysis

As described above ([in steps 6 and 7](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/13645850971671-Analysis-settings-Risk-ranges#h_01H03MWECV2H2SRZP3ZSEN8A36)), after applying the appropriate risk ranges to your custom risk scores in the analysis settings, you can either [run your analysis](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360058012013) (if it has not yet been run) or apply the new risk ranges to your run analysis.

Once the analysis has been run or the new ranges have been applied, you can use the **Risk range** filters on the following dashboards:

- **Risk segmentation**: Use the filter to further customize your segment and gain deeper insights by including or excluding risk ranges in the segment table.
- **Data table**: Within the **Entries** view, use the filter to better align the results in MindBridge to your firm methodology.
