We have answers. ## Summary When you **create an analysis** in MindBridge, you select the [analysis type](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360058198913), time frame, and dates for the period under review. Once the analysis has been created, you can [import data](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360057583093-Create-an-analysis-GL-AP-AR#01FTXVMK89FP2MM2FB7QN415W3) into it, customize the [engagement settings](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360055740054) and [analysis settings](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/13638835009559), and then [run the analysis](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360058012013) and access the [results dashboards](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/categories/4408298369815-Interpret-analysis-results). **Tip:** Alternatively, learn how to [duplicate](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360058013433-The-Data-page-Overview-GL-AP-AR#h_01HGBYMNWY0Y8AKDFQNHA2KWB0) or [roll forward](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360061700433) analyses into a new or another existing engagement. ## Go to an engagement 1. Select the **logo** in the MindBridge [sidebar](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360056334994). You will go to the _Organizations_ page. 2. Select **View** in line with the desired organization, or click anywhere in the organization row. You will go to the _Engagements_ page. 3. On the Engagements page, select **View** in line with the desired engagement, or click anywhere in the engagement row. If the engagement does not contain any analyses you will be prompted to [create one](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360057583093-Create-an-analysis-GL-AP-AR#01FTXVMK89E88JRFX3W34877T9), otherwise you will go to the engagement's _Data_ page. **Tip:** If you are in another engagement, open the sidebar ( ) then select **Back to all engagements** to go to the _Engagements_ page for the given organization. ## Create an analysis - [The first analysis in an empty engagement](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360057583093-Create-an-analysis-GL-AP-AR#01FTXVMK89E88JRFX3W34877T9) - [Add a new analysis to the Data page](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360057583093-Create-an-analysis-GL-AP-AR#01FTXVMK89CQS0PY06EQY69JPY) **Note:** If creating an analysis that uses the [interim time frame](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/19030451443223-What-is-an-interim-time-frame-in-an-analysis), learn how to [convert it](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360056458214-Converting-an-interim-analysis) to an analysis that uses the [full time frame](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/19029762802967-What-is-a-full-time-frame-in-an-analysis). ### The first analysis in an empty engagement When an engagement is first created, you will be brought to the _Create analysis_ page, which prompts you to create the first analysis (or set of analyses) within the engagement. 1. Select the checkboxes next to the **[analysis type(s)](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360058198913)** you want to create. If the engagement's library is set up for several analysis types, you can use the checkboxes to create multiple analyses simultaneously. Although you can only create one of each analysis type at a time, it is possible to have multiple analyses of the same type within one engagement. 2. Enter a unique **name** for each selected analysis. If you do not enter a name, MindBridge will apply the default name (as displayed in the name field). 3. Use the menu to select which **time frame** your analysis should represent: - **Full:** The data spans the full analysis period. - **Interim:** The data spans the analysis period start date to the interim as-at date. - **Periodic**: The data can be imported periodically, on an ongoing basis. Select the **date fields** to reveal the calendar tool, then use it to select the: - Analysis period start date - Analysis period end date - *Interim as-at date (only available if you have selected the interim time frame)* 5. Set the **currency** that you want to see in the analysis. 6. When you are satisfied, select **Create analysis**. You will go to the _Data_ page where you can [manage the analysis](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360056457334) and [add prior periods of data](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/16485392680471). * **Note:** The interim as-at date _cannot occur_ before the analysis period start date or after the analysis period end date. ### Add a new analysis to the Data page You can run multiple analyses within the same engagement. This is helpful in instances when subsidiaries or multiple general ledgers exist within a single engagement. **Note:** All analyses within an engagement will share that engagement’s [control point](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360057582953) settings, [account grouping](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/23691034988951) and [account mappings](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/9553833993495-Verify-accounts-Account-grouping-and-account-mapping#h_01GHKTK2GF5EHD8YEQTTT71S25). 1. Open the **Actions** menu at the top of the _Data_ page. 2. Select **Create analysis**. You will be taken to the _Create analysis_ page. 3. Follow [steps 1 to 6 above](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360057583093-Create-an-analysis-GL-AP-AR#h_01H5Q526E72WWSAWBM1ZYBWJEF).
