## Summary

A **risk score** is an aggregate score derived from multiple [control point](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360057582953) scores, displayed on entries and transactions*.

By combining the metrics associated with specific control points, stronger insights emerge about the story behind each entry and transaction in your dataset, and high risk scores indicate items that may be worth sampling. Most entries will trigger one control point or another, but if a single entry receives a high score from numerous control points, it is likely to be worthy of further scrutiny.

MindBridge offers assertion-based risk scores by default, but your _App Admins_ can [create custom risk scores](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360061668293) for you and your team, based on your firm's methodology. These risk scores can be further customized as needed within the [engagement settings](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/1500001381622), for tailored analysis results.

The [MindBridge Score](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360055739874-MindBridge-score-GL) is a configurable risk score that aggregates results from the control points defined in your library or engagement configuration. It powers dashboards, filtering, exports, and workflows, providing a consistent view of risk across the platform.
