## Add a new annotation

1. Select the **annotations** icon (  ) in line with the component you want to annotate on.

If annotations have been previously added, they will be listed here, as well as the number of comments on each annotation.
2. Select **Add annotation**.
3. Enter the annotation in the text box.
4. When you are satisfied, **Save** your work.

If this is the first annotation on a component, a red dot will appear over the annotation icon to indicate that an annotation has been added.

Select **Cancel** to close the window without saving.

## Comment on an annotation

1. Find the component with annotations (indicated by a red dot) you want to comment on.
2. Select the **annotations** icon (  ).

You will see the added annotation titles, as well as the number of comments on each annotation.
3. Select the annotation you want to comment on.

You will see the annotation and all of the comments left on it.
4. Select **Add comment**.
5. Enter the comment in the text box.
6. When you are satisfied, **Save** your work.

Select **Cancel** to close the window without saving.

## View or edit an annotation or comment

1. Find the component with annotations (indicated by a red dot) you want to view or edit.
2. Select the **annotations** icon (  ).

You will see the added annotation titles, as well as the number of comments on each annotation.
3. Select the annotation you want to view or edit.

You will see the annotation and all comments left on it.
4. To edit, select the **edit** icon (  ) in line with the desired annotation or comment.
5. Edit the text as desired within the text box.
6. When you are satisfied, **Save** your work.

Select **Cancel** to close the window without saving.

## Delete an annotation or comment

1. Find the component with annotations (indicated by a red dot) or comments you want to delete.
2. Select the **annotations** icon (  ).

You will see the added annotation titles, as well as the number of comments on each annotation.
3. Select the desired annotation.

You will see the annotation and all comments left on it.
4. Select the **delete** icon (  ) in line with the annotation or comment you want to delete.

A pop-up window will appear to confirm that you want to permanently delete the item.
5. When you are ready, select **Delete**.

**Note:** Deleting an annotation will also delete all of the comments left on it.

Select **Cancel** to close the window.

## Export all annotations on a single component

1. Find the component with annotations (indicated by a red dot) and comments you want to export.
2. Select the **annotations** icon (  ).

You will see the added annotations, as well as the number of comments on each annotation.
3. Select **Export.**

All annotations and comments for the component will be exported as a .xlsx file to your computer's default download location.

### Export a single annotation

1. Go to the **Annotations** tab.
2. Select **Export** in line with the annotation you want to export.

The annotation and all comments within it will be exported as a .xlsx file to your computer's default download location.

### Export multiple annotations

1. Go to the **Annotations** tab.
2. Check the boxes next to the annotations you want to export.

A blue action bar will appear.
3. Select **Export selected**.

The annotations you selected and all comments within them will be exported as a .xlsx file to your computer's default download location.
