## Symptom

While uploading an account grouping file, the following error appears:

_MindBridge could not import the file because the data does not align with required formatting._

## What does this error mean?

Since the account grouping file relies on a correctly filled out template, if the template is incorrectly filled out or another file is uploaded in place of the template then this error will be triggered.

## Resolution

Check the file you've uploaded is correctly filled out and utilizing the correct Excel template. The template can be downloaded when you [create a new account grouping](https://support.mindbridge.ai/hc/en-us/articles/360056330754) from the Admin page by clicking Export Template:
